It has always been in our bucket list to shoot a wedding at this gorgeous venue, Stones of the Yarra Valley. For those who is unfamiliar, it’s a winery located in the heart of Yarra Valley (Melbourne), as the name suggests. And if gorgeous vineyard and rustic chapel is your thing, then we would suggest newly engaged couples to check out this stunning wedding venue. Without reservation, we’re almost certain you will never want to get married anywhere else. And why would you?
So when David & Kindy told us they are getting married at the Stones, needless to say, we were over the moon. Excitement is probably understatement. You can probably guess, we have a soft spot for untouched beauty.
David & Kindy’s wedding was very elegant, relax, and, in our opinion, what a wedding should be. What you see is what you get. It’s pretty much like David & Kindy themselves, a very kind and loving couple we’ve the ever met and worked with.
The ceremony took place at the Chapel, a beautiful, elegant and solitary church, sitting within the Stones itself. Unlike typical church ceremony we attended in the past with endless reading from the bible verses, there were beautiful singing choir throughout and it felt so peaceful, like we were taken back centuries in time. We could really get used to this feeling of calmness.
A short stroll from the Chapel is the Barn, where the reception is, oh boy, the flower arrangement on tables, glass windows & wall surrounding letting in natural light throughout the sittings, not to mention friendly & professional staff. What an amazing experience. As a wedding photographer, I get to appreciate the natural beauty and fine details that only such talented artists could really create. This place ticked all the boxes. And so was my bucket list.
