Shooting a wedding at Swallowfield Vineyards would be a dream comes true for any wedding photographer. And we are very lucky to photograph Emily & Antony’s beautiful vineyard wedding here.
Located within the Dandenong Range, approximately 1.5 hours from the Melbourne CBD, Swallowfield Vineyards is a hidden gem and perfect wedding venue of hundreds acres of forest, vineyards, pond and open fields. One could easily spend all day shooting and never run out of ideas.
It was a shame we did not have such time to spend with Emily & Antony for the bridal photos as the guests were eagerly waiting for the newlywed couple to come back for the grand entrance. But we managed to get some pretty good shots that the couple would surely cherish for years to come.
The reception was held by the barn with couple of long tables set up both inside and outside with no allocated seats. Emily explained, we are all family here, there’s no need for seating plan. And as such, every one was freely roaming from one table to the next.
Oh and did I mention pizza & kebab was on the menu? I was struggling to hold the camera on one hand and piece of mouth-watering pizza on the other. Ah well, at least the pics didn’t turn out too bad right?
Highlight of the evening was the bridal waltz which Emily and Antony secretly practised some funky routines and sent the crowd into frenzy.
It was a great wedding, great day, and great location. We honestly could not ask for a better couple to work with.
