Each wedding I shoot is unique in its own way, and so was the one of Thomas and Tim. It all started with glasses of champagne as the couple prepared for their big day, surrounded by their closest friends and family who came over to congratulate the soon-to-be husband and husband. Soon later, Thomas and Tim parted the crowd and walked to the wedding venue, as we took some candid shots of the pair along the way. This same-sex wedding photoshoot was sweet, smooth and relaxed, and these two were simply glowing with happiness.
Typical Melbourne spring brought us some light rain shower, but on the other hand, it added a movie-like romantic atmosphere to these lovely gay wedding photos. It was pretty obvious that Tim and Thomas are head over heels in love, and that is exactly how the wedding pictures turned out – portraying their never-ending affection for each other.
Thomas Tim said their forevers at the Mountain Goat Beer, a hip industrial beer joint in Richmond seemingly beloved by LGBTQ couples. Once the celebrant announced them husband and husband, Tim shared a tear of joy and without a doubt, it was a very touching moment to witness, even for a wedding photographer like ourselves.
The biggest surprise, however, came once the newly-weds kicked off the party with jaw-dropping dance choreography. Needless to say, the crowd went wild. Music started to pump and everyone joined in to show off their best moves. Speaking of extraordinary, guests could enjoy the reception with delish vegetarian pizza from Happy Camper and mouth-watering ice cream instead of a typical wedding cake. You can almost hear the laughter from these wedding photographs and I was pleased to capture all the tender moments, joy and fun at this dazzling same-sex wedding.
